Colac is located in the Western District of Victoria, Australia. It is approximately 150 kilometres south-west of Melbourne and 75 kilometres south-west of Geelong. It is home to the beautiful Lake Colac, close to some of Victoria’s most-loved natural attractions including the Great Otway National Park and Great Ocean Road. The plains around Colac are the third largest volcanic plain in the world.
The Trail Collective was engaged by the Colac Otway Shire Council to provide consultation and concept design services for a Pump Track and Bike Park. The design achieved and complimented the master plan of the Elliminyt Recreation Reserve. We completed extensive community consultation and delivered a design to cater for beginner and intermediate users, with the addition of two separate areas, integrated seamlessly into the reserve and nearby recreation areas. The design included a Pump Track area and Jump/Bike Park area for the local community to hone their skills, whilst providing a natural aesthetic and experience.
97% of the broader community supported our design and were extremely positive towards a space being installed in the local Colac Region.
