Bower Road Bike Park is situated in West Lakes, South Australia, within a vibrant community in the Western suburbs that welcomes families and riders of all ages. By the lakeside, this area benefits from refreshing breezes and ample sunny, open spaces, creating a pleasant environment throughout the year. The park features ample shade, access to drinking water, and convenient public transport options to both the city and Port Adelaide, along with opportunities for water sports and other activities on the lake.
The establishment of the bike park was driven by dedicated community members, who initially conducted an audit to identify safety concerns and potential upgrades. To address these findings, The Trail Collective was engaged to lead the project, focusing on revitalizing the park to ensure it meets the needs of all users.
As a result, we successfully delivered an upgraded bike park that accommodates multiple levels of difficulty, catering to everyone from beginners to intermediate riders. The enhancements include transfer lines and innovative features designed to promote skill development and improve flow, ultimately enhancing user experience and encouraging greater participation.
