Clare Bike Park is situated in the iconic and beautiful Clare in the Clare Valley, South Australia. Just a 90 minute drive from Adelaide’s northern suburbs, it is a sought after holiday destination and one of Australia’s oldest wine regions. It’s a family friendly location with attractions such as galleries, boutique wineries, beautiful landscapes and plenty of things to see and do.
The local YAC advocated to the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council for an upgraded BMX facility and council successfully received grant funding to upgrade the site.
We were engaged as the lead contractor in a design and construction type arrangement. After a successful community engagement process, 84% of respondents were in favour of the design we came up with for the upgrade.
Using the key findings and statistics gathered from the community consultation phases, we designed and constructed an upgraded bike park catering for beginner and intermediate users. This included all new jump lines, beginner pump track and improved start mound. We also included bench seating, a hose reel for public maintenance and upgraded signage. The Clare Bike Park upgrade has been a great success and is enjoyed by the Clare community and beyond.
