SUE SAVAGE RESERVE PUMP TRACK /

Toongabbie is one of Sydney’s oldest suburbs, located approximately 30 kms west of the Sydney CBD, and is well-known for its numerous parks and recreational spaces.

The Trail Collective was engaged as the lead consultant to design an asphalt pump track that complements the Sue Savage Reserve Master Plan. This pump track design reflects the desires uncovered through our unique community consultation approach, catering to both beginners and intermediate users.

We incorporated fun and engaging features aimed at user enjoyment and skill development, such as jumps, rollers, moguls, and banked turns/berms, ensuring seamless and direct access from the skate park and ‘Settlers Walk’ shared pathway.

There was strong community advocacy and support for this project, which promises to enhance outdoor recreational activities for the local community.

Additional elements of the master plan include an increased allocation of car parking on Chanel Street, a skate park, upgraded shelters, recreational nodes, a multipurpose court, landscaping, drinking fountains, and restrooms with an amenities building.
